The Cheesecake Factory Is Finally Coming to Surprise

After years of resident requests — and we mean years — The Cheesecake Factory is officially joining Restaurant Row at Village at Prasada, the 1.3-million-square-foot power center at Loop 303 and Waddell Road. It'll sit alongside Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant, Barrio Queen, Cold Beer and Cheeseburgers, and O.H.S.O. Brewery, and the whole corner is getting a refresh: a family-oriented splash pad and updated marquee signage for the restaurant row. The Cheesecake Factory takes about 7,500 square feet, with another 21,100 square feet of new shop and restaurant space going in nearby.

City of Surprise Economic Development Director Jeanine Jerkovic called it a “sweet win for Surprise,” noting residents have named The Cheesecake Factory their most-requested restaurant for years running, while SimonCRE's Joshua Simon framed it as proof the West Valley can compete with dining and retail anywhere in the Valley. Expect doors to open in late 2027 — worth the wait, but plenty of time to start planning your first slice.

Spark Surprise Is Throwing Open Its Doors

Speaking of new things to celebrate: Spark Surprise, the city's new small business resource hub, is hosting its grand opening on October 1, 2026, at 10 a.m. at 14462 W Elm St #143. Expect an open house, a ribbon cutting, and a genuine community celebration — this is the space that's about to become home base for local entrepreneurs, offering business support services, membership perks, and workspace rentals right in the heart of Surprise.
