The dining room here opens onto the 100 block of South Main, and the sidewalk tables are the ones people angle for when the weather is good: a front-row seat for downtown Greenville's foot traffic and an easy stroll from Falls Park. Inside, it keeps the loose, neighborhood-bar feel that has made it a steady fixture of the Main Street strip.
It runs as a gastropub, so the kitchen treats comfort food with more care than the pub label lets on, and pairs it with a rotating set of craft and local drafts, a curated wine list, and cocktails. Lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch each carry their own menu.
The plates people come back for are the Black Angus burger, the fish and chips, and the Scotch egg, with a dark chocolate candied bacon brownie waiting at the finish. Brunch has a following of its own, built around a stone-ground grits bar you top yourself, from red pepper gravy and roasted tomatoes to pickled vegetables and pimento cheese.
It comes out of Table 301, the local restaurant group behind Soby's just across the street, which is part of why it draws the crowd it does. Saturday brunch runs busiest of all, in no small part because the TD Saturday Market sets up just steps from its door.
