The pour-over lineup at Reunión changes with whatever green coffee owner Edwin Martinez is most excited about that week. It runs as a multi-roaster micro-shop rather than a single-brand cafe, rotating single-origin coffees from roasters near and far, so the selection you find on one visit may have turned over by the next.
Martinez pulls shots on a custom La Spaziale machine and has worked in specialty coffee since 2017, including time at Junto and other shops around Greer and Taylors. The craft runs deeper than a job for him: his father and grandfather worked coffee farms in Oaxaca, Mexico, and that heritage is part of why the shop is named Reunión, built to bring people together over a good cup. It started as a small cart out front of The Oxford Barber Co. before moving into its own nook in the same building.
The space is intentionally tiny, the kind of counter where you can talk with the person making your drink and pick up a little about what is in the cup. That makes it an easy stop while you wander the galleries and studios of the Village of West Greenville, the Pendleton Street arts district it calls home.
