On the west side of Greenville, along the White Horse Road stretch, Taqueria las Palmas has built a name as the taco truck to beat. The tacos are the draw: fresh tortillas, well-seasoned meat, and a salsa with real heat that reviewers keep pointing to.
The al pastor is the standout people mention most, and the nachos supreme get their own nod. There is a nice surprise for a taco truck here, too, a screened-in porch with a fan, so you can sit and eat instead of eating off the hood of your car. It also runs late, open past midnight every day, which makes it one of the few real late-night options on that side of town.
