We had the pool store close our pool last summer (25) and this spring (26) we open it and it was crystal clear. We only needed to shock and add salt to pool which cost a grand total of $12. We used a local competitor, who was double the money, to close our pool in 2024 and when we opened it in 2025 it looked like a Forest was growing in our water. The pool store is better and reasonably priced so do yourself and your wallet the favor and sure them for your pool closing needs. Picture below is what my pool liked directly after taking off the cover.
The Pool Store has been absolutely amazing! Their staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to take the time to answer questions and help find the right products. Every time I visit, I feel welcomed and never pressured into buying things I don’t need. Their water testing service is incredibly helpful, and they make pool maintenance much easier by clearly explaining what needs to be done. The store is clean, well stocked, and carries everything needed to keep a pool looking its best. What really stands out is their customer service. They genuinely care about helping customers enjoy their pools and make sure problems are solved the right way. It’s rare to find a business that combines expertise, honesty, and excellent service so consistently. I highly recommend The Pool Store to anyone looking for quality products, professional advice, and outstanding customer care. Thank you for always making pool ownership easier and more enjoyable! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended!
The staff at this store are awesome; super knowledgeable and helpful! I’ve gone in to buy chemicals, and they’ve literally talked me out of them, instead, showing me (for free!) on my pool app how to adjust other settings to achieve what was needed. It’s rare to find a local retailer who treats you also like a friend.
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with The Pool Store. First, it was extremely difficult to get in contact with anyone who was actually able to help me. The staff at the Egg Harbor Road location were always friendly but never able to help me as this was a concern for the service department. I was told the ONLY way to get in contact with the service department was to send an email. I did as suggested and sent an email that, weeks later, still has not been responded to. After I continued to inquire multiple times, over the course of many days, as to how else I could get in contact with someone, I was then told that the only person who could help me was Toni. But the only way to reach Toni would be via the service email address I was given previously. I was informed I could also try contacting the headquarters location between 8:00-8:30am on weekdays to try to catch her before she went out on service calls. It took over a week of calling both locations until I eventually received a call back from Toni herself. My main issue with this company was that they were hired and paid, in full, to clean and open the pool for the season and to also do some repair work to epoxy a three-sided gap between the skimmer and the pool where we suspected water was leaking. The "repair" that they did was poor work that any company should be ashamed of. Epoxy was only applied to the right side of the skimmer box. The bottom and left side still had gaping holes where water was leaking. Initially on the phone, Toni was very receptive to my concerns and assured me, if this was a job they were hired to do and it was not done correctly, she would take steps to rectify that in a timely manner. She even gave me her personal phone number. I spoke to Toni on the phone on June 10th. She assured me that when she got into the office the next day, she would look into the work they were contracted to do and send me an email with more information. Only after I sent her multiple messages over the course of a week, did she finally send me that email, on June 18th. In the email, she stated that they were "asked to epoxy the skimmer (which we did)". I sent her a reply the same day with my concerns of the unfinished repair and being unable to maintain an adequate level of water in order for the skimmer to be able to run. I included photos of what the skimmer looked like before the repair and what the skimmer looks like currently. I haven't heard from Toni since then, despite multiple texts and phone calls to her personal phone. As a small business, reputation matters. You would expect a company to take pride in its work and leave customers with a positive impression. We recently moved to the area and were looking for a pool company to establish a long-term working relationship with to maintain the quality of our pool for years to come. Unfortunately, our experience with The Pool Store left us very disappointed and we will not be returning customers.
I have been using the pool store for almost 20 years. They have always been there to answer questions, open and close my pool. They upgrade our system to salt about 10 years ago, new heater, pumps, glass filter. You name it they have been there for all our needs. Toni and her staff are amazing people to with. I highly recommend them!!!
