I cannot say enough wonderful things about Wigs and Wishes. The kindness and compassion they showed my mother during such a difficult time meant more to our family than I can put into words. They provided her with a beautiful wig completely free of charge, but what they truly gave her was something priceless — her confidence back. Seeing my mom smile and feel like herself again is something I will never forget. Thank you for treating my mother with such kindness and dignity. What you do for people battling cancer is truly incredible, and you deserve all the recognition in the world. ❤️

A year and a half ago my mom was diagnosed with advanced stage ovarian cancer. Being local to the area we have heard about Martino’s foundation and I called for guidance. We were able to get a consultation appt immediately. My mom was expecting to keep her hair for as long as possible but Martino gently explained why they do things the way they do. He also knew the exact day her hair would fall out by which chemo she was on. He was right. We were able to make the wig fitting appt quickly after the consult. The wig picked for my mom couldn’t have been a closer match to her hair color. They didn’t have the exact wig in stock at the time but when we saw it in person we were shocked. After a terrible experience (having had her hair shaved off) my mom went outside and took the first selfie she had ever taken. She was feeling herself in that wig. It was nice to see. Now just a year and a half later my sister has been diagnosed with the same genetic cancer as my mom. I knew who to call immediately. We’ve done the consultation and again had the same experience. We go back for the fitting in a few weeks and I have no doubts it will go the same.

I am writing this review from a husband’s perspective, whose wife just began her chemotherapy treatments. Wigs and wishes was recommended from one of my wife’s nurses, she made an appointment with Mr.Martino Carter and from the moment her consultation began she felt instantly at ease. Mr. Carter’s caring and compassionate demeanor was a godsend to a woman dealing with a very difficult decision. He treated my wife with kindness, respect and patience of a saint. I personally want to thank you Mr. Carter, for how you handle your clients who are battling this disease. The concept is a lovely idea, however it doesn’t appear that you’ll ever get your wig. I placed my order a couple of months ago with a participating salon and have yet to receive a wig. She told me the last one she ordered was 4 months ago and it still had not come in. Not sure where all the donations are going to…. Definitely not the people needing wigs!

Thank you does not even begin to describe how I feel about wigs for wishes. You guys helped me and so many others with cancer. Thank you so much for making me feel better dealing with this diagnosis.
