In the morning the espresso bar pulls shots from Methodical's La Pastora beans; by evening the beer poured a few steps away was brewed on site. Other Lands runs both under one roof at the edge of North Main, and the whole place is built around an idea its owners keep returning to: slowing down.
Alongside the house beer and the coffee, the taps carry natural wines, craft cocktails, seltzers, and kombucha, and a scratch kitchen sends out small bites through the day. The room is bright and light-filled from tall front windows, with a patio for warmer evenings. Running from morning coffee through the last pour of the night, it changes character as the hours pass, laptops and lattes early, pints and conversation later on.
It began with two couples, John and Brenna Moorer and Caroline and Mel Wilcox, who held onto the plan through a pandemic that stalled their first site before they opened here in 2023. Reviewers keep landing on the same things: staff who make people feel looked after, room to spread out and work, and a neighborhood feel that keeps folks around longer than they planned.
