Southernside Brewing Co. sits right on the Swamp Rabbit Trail next to Unity Park, and the first thing you notice is how much room there is. A large indoor space opens onto an expansive outdoor yard set up for games and live music, so a quiet weekday pint and a packed weekend night both have somewhere to land.
It runs as a full brewery and Southern kitchen. Ten-plus house beers pour alongside a full bar with wine, handcrafted cocktails, and a deep bourbon list. The food leans into Southern comfort, from truffle parmesan fries and fried mac and cheese balls to bourbon bacon jam burgers and fried chicken sandwiches.
There is more here than beer and a plate: bowling lanes, a video arcade, and a dog-friendly patio make it as much a hangout as a taproom.
